Colorful Kindergarten Fun

“Fun activity and fun learning!”

Our kindergarten class has been having a great year. This past week the students read the book Frederick by Leo Lionni, which tells the story of a mouse who collects colors for the gray winter days.

This launched us into an exploration of the primary colors- red, yellow, and blue. We explored different combinations of the three to create lots of new, different colors. As we worked with the three colors, we figured out which combinations worked to create specific colors and discovered that every color comes from a combination of these three!

We were then able to use the new colors in addition to the primary colors to paint Frederick and his family!   Fun activity and fun learning! Nice job, Kindergarteners!
