Ms. Catherine Root – 5th Grade Teacher

  • Joined Heritage Faculty/Staff in: 2021
  • Degree: B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education from Grove City College
  • How she contributes to HCA’s mission: “I’m excited to cultivate a classroom environment where students recognize the sovereignty of Christ, as well as one where students know that learning about God and His creation is a minute-by-minute endeavor. It is not confined to the four walls of a classroom or to the hours spent there, but happens in all of life.””
  • More about Catherine: Outside of the classroom, Miss Root enjoys hiking, reading, knitting, and writing letters. Her favorite book is Davita’s Harp by Chaim Potok because she loves “seeing the world, including politics and religion, through the young main character’s eyes. This book is a testimony to the impressionability of children and the importance of good parental influences–children need truth-filled and godly role models.”
