- Favorite Bible Verse: “But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.’” Isaiah 43:1
- How she contributes to HCA’s mission: “I am a lifelong learner myself and have a passion for walking with Jesus and seeing the world through His eyes. I love to pass on wonder and amazement to my students of who God is and how He works. When I am teaching Latin, I teach the importance of the spoken and written word , of order and structure of the language that was so indicative of the Roman culture. When I’m teaching literature we travel through time and to other places to experience and learn with the characters in the book. In history we follow God’s plan from creation through present day. We see a perfect world corrupted by sin and an amazing God who went to great lengths to redeem and restore mankind. We see how God uses broken, fallible people to bring about His purposes and that it is only His word that lasts forever. I’m just so thankful that God allows us to be lifelong learners and to daily open our eyes to His truths & wonders.”
