We recognize that many families are anticipating updates regarding EdChoice funding for the 2025-26 school year. The state is still finalizing program details. We will share comprehensive information as soon as it becomes available. Please note that applications for EdChoice will open on February 1, 2025. LOST AND FOUND
Lost and Found—Please remember that the Lost and Found will be emptied at the end of each month. All uniform items will be transferred to the Uniform Exchange, and all other items will be donated. Come check it out before Thanksgiving Break!
GIVE A GIFT TO HERITAGE STUDENTS THAT COSTS YOU NOTHING!
The state of Ohio’s Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) tax credit authorizes donors who contribute to K-12 student scholarships through a certified SGO to receive a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state taxes up to $750 per individual taxpayer ($1,500 per couple). Last year, families and friends of Heritage redirected over $300,000 in tax dollars to HCA through this tax credit opportunity. If every HCA family participates this year, we have the potential to raise over $600,000! Learn more here.

HOT LUNCHES
Hot lunches are available weekly for all K-11th grade students. For Lower School students, Chick-fil-A orders are due the Sunday before (served on Tuesday), and pizza orders are due the Monday before (served on Wednesday). Late orders cannot be accepted.
Peninsula and Pepper Pike Lower School families, please refer to the Orientation webpage for the lunch ordering procedures.
Upper School families are now able to order lunches through Renweb and the HCA app.
ATTENDANCE REPORTING POLICY
Please note an important change to our Attendance Reporting Policy. Please do not contact the Campus Coordinator by email or by phone regarding attendance-related issues. For all attendance related communications including absences, tardies, mid-day appointments, bussing, carpooling, and early pick-ups, please do one of the following:
1) Call the appropriate Attendance Line and leave a message. You will still need to contact your child’s teacher and the nurse (when medical).

6TH GRADE FIELD TRIP
Our 6th graders’ field trip to A Christmas Carol at Playhouse Square is on Wednesday, December 4. Please remember to pack their lunch. They will not be able to get pizza service that day. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to drive. The first ten who registered to drive have been contacted.

ATHLETIC PRACTICE TRANSPORTATION
Now that winter athletic practices have started, we are getting a lot of last-minute communication from parents regarding rides. If your child’s transportation must change from the regular pick-up plan, please make sure you do one of the following two things:

All pick-up changes should be communicated by 1:00 p.m. Please let your child know ahead of time what the plan is. Our Campus Coordinator cannot be responsible for finding students at the end of the day to make changes to their pick-up plan.
HOUSE COMPETITION
Tomorrow (Friday, November 22) is the last day to bring boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Turn in your filled boxes to your House Dean to get credit for your House!
BASKETBALL
HCA Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball had their first scrimmage against Hearts for Jesus this past Friday. It was the first time in HCA history that the school has competed at the varsity level for basketball. The coaches and players did a great job, and it was wonderful seeing so many parents, grandparents, and friends in the stands to support the teams!
The next varsity home game is Friday, November 22, at The Edge vs. Mentor Christian.
The girls’ and boys’ junior high teams play tonight, Thursday, November 21, at Kingsway Christian Academy. This will be their first game of the season. Good luck, Griffins!
The boys' 6th grade team had an outstanding victory against CVCA in their season opener this past weekend! The boys won 35-25. The coaches and players did a wonderful job working together and showing that hard work pays off!
SKI CLUB
